    Nissyros, Dodecanese 1908: 20 pa. carmine, a fine pair used on 1908 cover to Athens tied by circula bilngual "NISSYROS" datestamp (Aug 4) struck in greenish blue (Coles & Walker fig. 135). Reverse with Smyrne and Athens datestamps. The envelope slightly trimmed at left but a wonderful strike of this rare marking.rnProvenance: Collection Prodromos Melon, this cover illustrated on the front cover of "Contribution to the Postal History of the Ottoman Post Offices of the Dodecanese" (1991) and in Coles & Walker on page 87.
