    International Postal Connections to Europe - Malta 1860 (Nov 24): Partially prepaid entire letter from Scio-Cesme to Malta, struck with "SCIO-CESME 24/11" cds (Tchilinghirian fig. 560) and FRANCO in blue, reverse with Sardinian TPO and Genova transit cds's and Malta arrival cds (Dec 14). The entire was partially prepaid with '20' soldi for the Lloyd and '28' soldi, both noted in red crayon on reverse, front with manuscript '4½' (pence) due for the journey to Malta and '1' (penny) due for Malta. An extremely early strike of the blue Scio-Cesme datestamp noted by Tchilinghirian as utilised from 1863. A fine and scarce entire from a small office to a surprisingly uncommon destination.
