    International Postal Connections to Europe - Great Britain 1857 (Nov 22): Fully paid registered cover from Jassy to London, endorsed "per Berlin & Ostende", struck with Austrian P.O. "JASSY 22 / 11" cds (Tchilinghirian fig. 757) FRANCO and RECOMANDIRT all in black, framed German RECOMANDIRT in red, British "♚ / REGISTERED" handstamp in red and 'London / Paid' arrival cds (Dec 1) in red alongside. Reverse with Lemberg, Krakau and German TPO Myslovitz-Kandrzin transit datestamps. Reverse shows a total of '37' soldi postage and a weiterfranko of '9' silbergroschen from Prussia to the United Kingdom. An attractive and rare entire, illustrated in 'Die Österreichische Post in der Levante' on page 390.
