    International Postal Connections to Europe - Saxony 1864 (Dec 30): Unpaid entire letter from Constantinople to Eberbach bei Löbau, endorsed "via Triest", struck with superb "CONSTANTINOPLEL 30 / 12" cds (Tchilinghirian fig. 387) in black. Reverse with Reichenberg and Oderwitz transit cds's (Jan 8). The front shows '20 / 15' kreuzer for Lloyd and Austria, respectively, the receiver was charged with '7' neugroschen. A fresh and fine entre depicting the standard rate from the Levant to the GAPU. Illustrated in 'Die Österreichische Post in der Levante' on page 380.rnNote: Due to the German-Austrian Postal Treaty the German States had the same rates to the Levant as Austria.
