    Largest regional expansion 1867 (June 27): Letter sheet from Galatz to Corfu, endorsed "Via Cospoli", bearing horizontal pair of 1864 15 s. brown perf. 9½, tied by "GALATZ 27/6" cds in black (Tchilingirian fig. 744), reverse with Kerkyra arrival cds (June 27, 1867, Julian calendar). Upon arrival, the cover was charged for inland Postage with '20' lepta in red crayon and Large Hermes Head 1862/68 5 lepta yellow green on greenish and 10 lepta orange on greenish, ample to large margins all round were applied and tied by '106' numerals of Kerkyra. Two minute file folds well away from the stamps, a very attractive mixed Hungarian - Greek franking full of character using Austrian stamps after the Hungarian postal administration became independent. Ferchenbauer (2020).rnNote: From May 1st, 1867 six of the post offices in the United Principalities (Bucharest, Fokshan, Galatz, Giurgevo, Ibraila & Ploesti) came under the Hungarian postal administration. The Soldi Arms issues became officially invalid on June 16, 1867, but the stamps of the new Franz Joseph 1867 issue were not yet delivered to the Hungarian Post Offices in the United Principlalities. Thus, correspondence despatched there continued to use the Arms issues, the latest usage recorded is July 25, 1867.
