    Mixed Usage of Austrian and Levant stamps 1875 (May 8): Letter sheet from Constantinople to Genova endorsed 'via Corfu & Brindisi' franked by 1867 Levant 3 s. green and 10 s. blue in a combination franking with Austria 1867 5 kr. red, two single examples, all stamps in vivid colours and fine condition, tied by "CONSTANTINOPEL 8 / 5 75" cds in black, "P.D." alongside. Reverse with Brindisi transit and Genova arrival cds's. An extremely rare mixed franking of Austrian and Levant stamps to cover the 23 soldi rate to Italy (15 soldi for Lloyd and Austria and 8 soldi for Italy). A marvellous and most appealing soldi / kreuzer combination cover, illustrated in 'Die Österreichische Post in der Levante' on the front cover and on page 265 and in the 1990 Ferchenbauer handbook on page 527.
