    Usage of Levant stamps in Austria 1871 (Feb 5): Cover from Trieste to Milano bearing 1867 Levant 15 s. brown, a fresh and fine example, tied by oval "TRIEST" datestamp (Feb 5) in black, with "P.D." alongside. Reverse with Italian Udine-Verona TPO cds and Milano distribution cachets. A rare usage of a Levant stamp in Austria to cover the Italy rate, illustrated in 'Die Österreichische Post in der Levante' on page 264 and in the Ferchenbauer handbook part IV on page 617. Cert.
