    Trieste Rate Handstamps 1865 (Nov 20): Unpaid envelope from Smyrna to Amsterdam, struck with "SMIRNE 20/11" cds in black (Tranmer fig. 4), scarce strike of '7' rate handstamp (Van der Linden fig. 3105) alongside in blue. Reverse with Amsterdam arrival cds in red (Nov 28). The '7' silbergroschen rate handstamp reflects 3 silbergroschen each for the Lloyd part and the GAPU part of the journey plus 1 silbergroschen for the Netherlands. Illustrated in 'Die Österreichische Post in der Levante' on page 231.
