    1869 (Oct 18): Great Britain 1864/79 1 d. red pl. 133, two horizontal strips of three lettered QI-QG and RG-RI, used on 1869 cover from Gibraltar to London all tied by six strikes of the "A26" obliterator with GIBRALTAR despatch cds alongside (Oct 18). Prepaid for single rate, found to be double weight and struck with rare "INSUFFICIENTLY / * / PREPAID" and two line"DEFICIENT POSTAGE (6d.) / FINE (6d.)" in black. Circular MORE TOP PAY below and handstruck "1/-" charge marking (Oct 25). Edge abrasions sensibly restored but a rare and most appealing usage.
