    1866 (Sept 29): Great Britain 1865 4 d. vermilion pl. 7 and 1865 6 d. lilac pl. 5 in a horizontal pair, used on 1866 yellow envelope from Montevideo to Bordeaux tied by two fine strikes of the "C28" obliterator with reverse showing faint 'Monte-Video' double arc datestamp in black. 'London / Paid' transit cds and circular 'PD' in red (Nov 5) and arrival. Flap tear but a delightful and extremely rare cover.
