    1801 (Oct 20): Entire letter from Paramaribo to London written in Dutch by Governor Fredericks during the first year of British Occupation, struck on reverse with superb strike of two line "SURINAM / OCT 20 1801" datestamp in black. Faint oval "Ship Letter / ♚ / DEAL" in black on front panel and rated "6/-" to pay in manuscript. London arrival cds in red on reverse (Jan 21, 1802). A splendid and extremely rare entire with very few examples recorded.
