    1872 (Dec): Cover from Bogotá to Hartford, CT, USA franked initially by Colombia 1868 imperf. 10 c. lilac and 20 c. blue with 1870 5 c. orange-yellow (Scott 54, 55, 62), cancelled by 'BOGOTÁ' framed despatch handstamp in blue and by "F69" Savanilla obliterator in black, Great Britain 1865 4 d. vermilion applied for onwards transmission also tied by superb strike of the "F69" obliterator. SAVANILLA cds at left (Jan 1, year omitted) at left and single ring COLON transit cds (Jan 4, 1873) in black of transit. 'N.Y. Steamship / 10' charge marking of receipt (Jan 25) and manuscript "Due 10" in blue crayon. File fold away from adhesives but in this describer's opinion the finest of the very few Colombia / GB combination covers. Unique. Cert.
