1860 (Oct 2): Cover from Guatemala to Orléans, France, endorsed at top "By Royal Mail Steam Ship from Belize (British Honduras) 17th Oct", with 'GUATEMALA / 1860' despatch cds in red (Oct 2) and handstruck "4" (reales), thence via Forwarding Agent "Antonio Mathé / Belize / Honduras" with blue oval cachet and franked by Great Britain 1856 6 d. lilac tied by bold "A06" obliterator in black. Reverse with double arc BELIZE cds in black (Oct 12) and thence via London where struck with 'GB / 1F 60c.' accountancy marking in black - either due to the adhesive stamp now being invalid (they were withdrawn in Belize in April 1860) or because the letter was found to be double (note '2' at left). Charged on arrival (Nov 17) with handstruck '16' décimes in black. The finest of all the Guatemala & British Honduras combination usages.
