    1851 (July 12): Cover, no side flaps, mailed prepaid from Nassau, Bahamas to San Francisco, USA endorsed 'per British Mail steamer via Panama', prepaid '1/4d.' in red manuscript, struck with superb "♚ / PAID / AT / BAHAMAS" handstamp in red. Reverse with BAHAMAS double arc cds (July 12, code C) and 'St. Thomas' double arc cds.
