"1d Surcharges" 1890 (Dec): First Setting 1 d. on 4 d. ultramarine, surcharge Types 7a, a used horizontal pair re-joined by hinge, showing variety: "Surcharge Triple", lightly cancelled by indistinct numeral obliterator in black. Just 8 examples of this variety have been recorded by Hisey & Bartshe: who record just two used examples, all the 'Triple Surcharge' varieties emanate from the same half sheet.
