    1862/68: 4 d. blue, perf. 11½ to 12½ and single 1869 1 s. brown, both in pale shades, used on 1871 double rate cover to the Duke of Polignac in Paris and readdressed on arrival to Maromme, cancelled by two strikes of the vertical "A10" obliterator with 'St. Vincent' cds (June 9) in red alongside. Manuscript '1/3d.' credit in red crayon at left. 'London / Paid' transit (June 25) and circular 'PD' in red with Calais transit cds also on obverse. A couple of minor cover wrinkles but an unusual combination, an attractive and rare cover.
