    1916 (Sept/Dec): WAR / STAMP. on 3 d. purple on yellow, an unused horizontal pair, marginal from right of sheet, right hand stamp (Row 6, stamp 12) showing variety "S in STAMP Omitted", each stamp with purple 'SPECIMEN.' presentation handstamp locally applied (Samuel Type J5). Age stains on reverse on large part og. and on central perforations but in all probability unique thus. Cert. BPA (1981).
