    1865: 6 d. dull purple, a single example and two horizontal strips of three, used on 1872 cover from Hamilton to London endorsed "via New York", lightly cancelled by "2" numeral obliterators in black, one stamp with rounded corner, tiny age spot, with manuscript '2/6d.' credit in red crayon below and '3/6' in pencil below the adhesives; HAMILTON / BERMUDA cds in black of despatch (Dec 21) and 'London / Paid' alongside (Jan 6, 1873) in red.
