    Seal of the Colony Issue 1892: 1 d. carmine, a horizontal pair and a vertically bisected example used on 1896 cover to London to pay the UPU 2½ d. rate, tied by 'Barbados' cds's (Oct 31) in black. Reverse with Paddington arrival cds (Nov 11). The commercial cover with opening tears and partial back flap missing. An extremely rare usage. Cert. BPA (1932).
