1900: Colour Trial for the ½ d. value in blue-green, printed on unwatermarked paper, perf. 14, with manuscript "Cancelled" diagonally written in black ink. This stamp sent back to De La Rue from the secretary of the Board of the Inland Revenue on January 5, 1900 as a "specimen of a stamp printed in the colour which has been selected by the Postmaster General".  Illustrated in the 'De La Rue Collection' edited by Frank Walton RDP on page 3347.
