    1854: Embossed 6 d. purple, a used example with enormous margins all round, on 1856 cover from Sevenoaks to Melbourne, Victoria endorsed "By the Miles Barton, Stamped July 18, '56", cancelled by complete strike of "697" Sevenoaks numeral obliterator with front showing "1d." credit handstamp in red. Reverse with Sevenoaks cds in blue, London transit cds (July 19) in red and oval SHIP LETTER / GPO VICTORIA arrival in red (Oct 18). Minor edge wear to envelope but a most delightful and rare cover Gi = £ 1'900.
