    1860: Prepared for use but not issued: 1½ d. rosy mauve on blued paper, lettered GI on Proof Impression of the 1½ d. Postal Stationery value, (date slugs 2.4.60) each overprinted SPECIMEN (Type 2) in black on card paper (129 x 75 mm.). One of very few known examples, a similar defective example is shown in 'Specimen Stamps & Postal Stationery' by Marcus Samuel and Alan Huggins on page 218. Rare and superb Gi G5s var = £ 2'200+.
