1840: 1 d. black, plate 4, lettered EL, a used example with large even margins all round and showing the extended sideline at lower left clearly, cancelled by superb strike of London "No. 11" in Maltese Cross in black. Slightest of thin spots at left, an outstanding example, with just three "No. 11's" in Cross recorded on the 1 d. black in the Karl Louis Card Index. A rarity. Cert.
