    1860/61: 1 p. rose-red, used examples (2) one example with margin imperceptibly touched, used on 1860 registered cover from Huánuco to Lima, each tied by dotted "HUAN." handstamps in black (Lamy & Rinck fig. 24 = 6 pts., Emsing fig. E1 = 20 pts.) with rare complete strike of CERTIFICAC.N registration handstamp at left (unlisted in Emsing) also in black. Reverse with docketing of sender's name, date (July 26) and signature. A fine and rare registered cover. Cert. Moorhouse (2007).rnrnNote: The National Letter rate (over 25 Leagues = 120 kms. circa) was 1 peseta per half ounce.
