    War of the Spanish Succession (1701–1714): D'HOLLANDE in black on entire lettersheet endorsed "fr:S:Hag" (franco La Haye) and 'par Paris', written at Luvarden (Leeuwarden NL) 28 Dec. 1708 by Captain La Coste-Maillac in the Bellabre dragoon regiment, imprisoned by the dutch after the battle of Oudenaarde (11. Juli, 1708), addressed "Monsieur le Baron Tauriac" in Toulouse, Languedoc. Fine and scarce historical item with full text transcription and German translation attached.
