    1843 (Aug 1): 30 reis black, Early Impression in a deep shade, from First Composite plate, State A, position 6 on greyish paper; a fine used example showing the outer frame lines at top and at right and part of adjoining stamp at base, tied to large part piece by circular CORREIO DE MARANHAO datestamp (December 1, 1843) well struck in red (Ayres fig. 1615).
