    1934 (July 30): First Flight covers (2) for Port Moresby-Melbourne Flight, one franked by 1932 Airmail 4 d. olive-green pair tied by Port Moresby cds, with octagonal cachet 'First Official Airmail' in violet at left, reverse with Melbourne cds (Aug 1), thence on via Launceston to 'Currie / King Is.' (Aug 13); the other with Papua optd. 6 d. Airmail and 1932 2 d. red, carried on the same flight to Melbourne and forwarded on to Whitemark (Aug 11) on Flinders Island.
