    New Guinea, Stamps of Australia overprinted 1919/21: Registered Cover from Rabaul to Stettin, Germany bearing 1919 fifth setting Kangaroo 2½ d. blue, two examples and 1921 KGV 2 d. orange, tied by "RABAUL -2 JE 22 NEW BRITAIN" cds with black on white registration label and "Freigegeben P. Ue. München" German postal censorship handstamp alongside, reverse with Stettin (26.7.22) arrival cds. Reinforced central fold away from the stamps, registered covers from the expensive 4 d. letter rate period up to 30.9.1923 are very scarce.
