    Russian P.O.'s in Romania: Large part letter despatched at the Russian P.O. in Jassy, reverse with cyrillic "YASSY 1854 13 MAR" cds (Dobin 63-2-05.1.08, rated 7) with floral design. A late usage of this datestamp, which Dobin describes only up to 1853. In July 1854 Russian troops had to leave the United Principalities which were conquered consecutively by Austrian neutral 'peacekeeping' forces.
