LUG datestamp in blue (Tchilinghirian fig. 533) with FRANCA alongside, prepaid with '20/69' (kreuzer) in manuscript on reverse in blue crayon (20 kr. to Lloyd, 69 kr. for Transatlantic crossing). Circular 'Aachen / Paid 23 Cents' in red (8/8) and carried on US steamer with 'f54' (cents) credit in red crayon on front and New York Exchange Office marking 'N.YORK AM. PKT / 28 PAID' in red (Aug 27). An exceptional and rare usage.
