    Austrian Post Office in Chios 1861: Entire letter from Chios to Malta dent partially prepaid with circular SCIO-CESME datestamp (29/6) in green (Tchilinghirian fig. 560) with FRANCO alongside (unlisted) in same ink. Prepaid as far as Genova with manuscript '20/28' on reverse in blue crayon (20 soldi Lloyd, 8 soldi for Italy), alongside 'Desenzano-Milan' TPO cds (July 5) and Genova cds (July 6). Italian '2' decimi handstamp deleted in manuscript. Malta arrival cds (July 18) and charged '2/4d.' due in manuscript altered to '6' pence in total to pay upon receipt. Some acid ink but a rare and most unusual entire.
