    1864/71: 4 d. yellow used with 1871/73 1 d. brown, perf. 10 x 12½ and 6 d. blue perf. 12½ on 1872 cover from Thames to Aalesund, Norway, all tied by "Thames A/3" duplexes in black. Reverse with Auckland transit cds in black (June 11) and Christiania Omk. arrival cds (Aug 10) in black. Obverse with manuscript '5' in red ink (British credit) and '3d.' credit for UK-Norway and circular PD in red. Closed opening tear at top, the 4 d. just off the edge of the cover at left and some perfs. clipped; but an attractive mixed issue franking to a very rare destination. Cert. RPSL (2010).
