    1886 (Jan 1): 2 d. brown-purple and 2½ d. ultramarine, variety overprint in 'blue-black', used on slightly trimmed 1886 registered cover to Hastings each tied by oval 'REGISTERED / GIBRALTAR' datestamps (Feb 26) in black. Reverse with 'Hastings / Station Office' datestamp of arrival (March 3).
