    1853/62: Perkins Bacon Plate Proof for the 10 c. value, imperforate and printed in black from Plate II, a wonderful block of forty-eight (12 x 4), sheet marginal from the top of the sheet of 240 subjects, minor thin on one and minimal stain at lower right and vertically creased between fourth and fifth vertical rows none of these faults affecting the exceptional appearance. Position 4 showing Plate scratch under COLON, position 15 with Plate scratch through PORTE, position 37 showing GOLON for COLON.
