    Lithographed by Henri Gillet 1854 (April-August): 5 c, red-brown, a fine used example with large even margins all round, used on 1854 cover from Valparaiso to Lima, Peru tied by six barred target handstamp in black. VALPARAISO despatch cds in red below (Aug 15). The letter sheet bears no other markings, however the 5 centavos paid the local rate and the cover was presumably handed to a PSNC Captain for onward transmission (the decree for obligatory franking via the PSNC was not signed until April 1856).
