    Acre Revolt 1903: Stampless cover to Pernambuco struck on reverse with circular "Governo Militar Provisorio do Acre / Franquia de Correspondencia" in violet, obverse with 'Amazonas' transit cds (Sept 9). Pernambuco arrival cds (Sept 20). A very scarce provisional cover. Bolivia unsuccessfully tried to put down a revolt by Brazilian migrants in the Acre region - resulting in the territory being annexed by Brazil.
