    1834 (April 19): Entire letter from Rio de Janeiro to London, endorsed 'p. Caroline via Guernsey' struck on reverse with fine framed GUERNSEY / SHIP LETTER in black (Robertson S2) with London arrival cds (June 20) in red below. Initially charged at double rate of 3/6d. but endorsed on reverse "Only single Fred Huth" in manuscript and charge halved to 1/9d. due to pay.
