    Typographed by Adolph Otto in Gustrow, Mecklenburg-Schwerin 1870 (May 1): 1 s. lilac, Proof with clear impression, imperforate on thin paper, showing the narrow setting of the Plate on reverse - the Proof being printed on both sides - fresh and very fine. The David Crocker collection contained a similar Proof as a marginal pair (lot 1003). Offered with a Proof in a similar but paler greyish shade without the printing on the reverse. Rare and most unusual.
