    Combination Cover 1879: Orange Free State 1878 4 d. pale blue (2), Gi. 18, used on 1879 double rate cover from Bloemfontein to Berlin, Germany lightly cancelled in black in combination with Cape 1864/77 6 d. violet (2 examples) and single 1871/76 4 d. blue tied by numeral "1" obliterator of Cape Town. Reverse with red wax seal 'Dr. B.O.K.(ellner)' of sender and faint Bloemfontein datestamp in black addressed to his mother Wilhelmine Kellner in Berlin with arrival marking (Aug 10). Obverse showing 'Cape Town / Colony' cds (July 14) in black and 'London / Paid' cds (Aug 8) with '5' (pence) British credit in red crayon alongside.
