"G" in black, Type 17, a horizontal marginal pair, used on 1880 cover to Mrs. Higgs, Hamilton, Bermuda tied by circle of bars handstamp in black with oval framed DU TOIT'S PAN datestamp alongside in black; over-struck by 'Cape Town / Cape Colony' transit cds (Aug 7) with manuscript '4' credit in red crayon. Reverse with London transit cds (Sept 6) in red and 'Hamilton / Bermuda' duplex of receipt (Sept 27) in black. A fine and rare cover.rnrnProvenance: Collection G.H.
