    'Mafeking Besieged' Type 2 on Stamps of the British Bechuanaland 1900 (April 28): Surcharged 1 s. on 6 d. purple on rose-red, a used block of six (2 x 3), of excellent rich colour, cancelled by First Day of Issue MAFEKING / C.G.H. datestamps (March 28) in black. Just 240 stamps, one sheet, issued.
