    1853 (July): 1 d. brick-red on lightly blued paper, the used block of four, with clear to large margins all round tied to 1861 cover to Cape Town by light CGH obliterators in black. Reverse with oval PAARL despatch datestamp in red and oval CAPE TOWN arrival in red (both dated March 16). The envelope with small stain and tiny tear at top mentioned for full accuracy, otherwise a truly magnificent cover paying the inland rate.
