1887: "Before And After The Stamp Committee" leather bound, gold-tooled Volume presented to members of the Committee, with first page headed "Series Superseded by the Issue of April, 1884' with the following stamps inset in card pages: 1880 2½ d. blue pl. 22, 3 d. deep rose plate 21, 4 d. grey-brown plate 18 and 6 d. grey pl. 18; 1880/81 ½ d. deep green, 1½ d. Venetian red, 2 d. rose and 5 d. indigo; 1881 1 d. lilac Die II,together with the Abnormals: 9 d. straw plate 5 lettered KC (Spec. Gi K95 = £ 20'000) and Colour Trial 1 s. plate 14 printed in purple lettered DB (Spec Gi = £ 8'250) this last with tiny tone spots on three perfs., second page headed "Series Issued April 1884" with ½ d. slate, 1 d. lilac Die II, 1½ d. lilac - 1 s. green set complete all of superb colour but some toning on 1 s.; page three with list of names from the Committee from Postmaster General Henry Raikes to the inscription for Warren De La Rue; fourth page with "Series Determined upon by the Stamp Committee and issued January, 1887" with Jubilee ½ d. vermilion, 1 d. lilac Die II, 1½ d., 2 d., 2½ d., 3 d., 4 d. 5 d. Die I, 6 d., 9 d. and 1 s. green. Other than the two stamps affected by age spots, the book is in fine condition but for slight scuffing at upper left of outer cover.
