    Recess by Perkins Bacon 1858: 'Queen on Throne' Plate Proof for 6 d. value in black, imperforate on greyed toned paper without watermark, a sheet corner marginal block of twenty eight (7 x 4), showing excellent depth of engraving, position 36 (last stamp, third row) showing signs of retouching, the stamps above (positions 18-24) with fainter lettering in VICTORIA. Margins touched to large all round, crease in corner not affecting appearance, a scarce multiple with only one sheet of 240 subjects struck.
