    Recess by Perkins Bacon 1856: 'Queen on Throne' 1 d. yellow-green, wmk. Star, a horizontal strip of four, just touched to large margins, fourth stamp showing the re-entry in value tablet at base, used on 1857 cover from Ballarat to Melbourne tied by circular "5" numeral obliterators in black. Unobtrusive file fold affects the fourth stamp which has small fault at top right. Reverse with 'Ballarat / Crown / Victoria' despatch datestamp (March 5) and part Melbourne arrival. A fine and attractive cover.
