    Chalon Head Issues, locally printed 1860/67: 6 d. dull slate-grey, wmk. '6', a fine example with large margins all round, used on 1864 cover to Secunderabad, India via Bombay, tied by mute obliterator in black. Circular 'General Post Office / Hobart Town / Crown' datestamp in red below (Feb 20) in red and reverse with Bombay transit cds (March 22) in black with framed '2 annas' due marking on front and Secunderabad arrival cds. Slight file fold at top not affecting the fine appearance of a rare cover.rnrnNote: P&O Second Contract.
