1854 (Feb): Laureated 1 d. orange-vermilion on yellowish wove wmk'd paper, position 38, a fine used example with four margins and part of adjoining stamp at base, tiny scissor incision at upper right, used on 1854 cover to Surrey Hills tied by Sydney mute obliterator with framed '2 / O CLOCK' handstamp at left. Reverse with 'Sydney / Crown / New South Wales' datestamp (Jan 13) in black.
