    1914: GRI 2½ d. on Germany 20 pf. ultramarine, original surcharge, used on 1914 cover to China, tied by APIA cds in black, the cover backstamped at Sydney (Oct 17), thence forwarded via Hong Kong (manuscript notation) to China. The cover with manuscript in Chinese stating that it was to be delivered to China, is sensibly opened for Exhibit display. A most unusual and attractive usage of this issue on letter. Rare. Cert.
