    1848/58: 1 d. red on blued paper, position 2 on the sheet of 12 subjects with characteristic 'IT' of 'Mauritius' joined, large margins all round and of excellent colour, merest trace of hinge thin in margin only at top, lightly cancelled by framed PENNY POST handstamp in black.
