    1861/62: First Athens Provisional printing, 20 lepta deep blue without Control Figures, a superb used example with enormous even margins all round in a deep lustrous shade, used on 1862 entire letter from Pyrgos to Calamai lightly tied by dotted lozenge and clearly showing the 'quadrille' background, Pyrgos cds adjacent and reverse with Calamai arrival (Feb 6) cds in black. Some light ageing to the entire but an imensely rare stamp on cover and a cover of great philatelic importance. Cert. E. Diena (1983), M. Tseriotis (1985) Hellas 8/Ib = € 60'000.
